“The library was established in 1933 when Kabul University was found. Its new facility was built in 1965. The library is charged to support the curriculum needs of the University of Kabul and the college of medicine students faculty and researcher. The library’s charge is based on the mission of the university. The university mission is to provide opportunities in study and research for its faculty, students and researchers and also to provide the students with an environment to advance their learning and to become productive members of the society”—(page 5).
