Summary: “The fifth assessment report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has pointed towards a definite rising of global temperatures and reduced precipitation, as a direct impact of climate change. The IPCC has considered ways to limit global emissions in order to restrict temperature rise to 2oC above pre-industrial levels, acknowledging the clear possibility of a 2oC temperature rise globally. Afghanistan has been endowed with abundant natural wealth, such as water resources, forest resources and mineral wealth, including hydrocarbons.
