Summary: “The release of this 3rd cycle monitoring report coincides with the completion of the second round of voting for the presidential election, held after the first round of presidential and the provincial councils elections on April 5, 2014. An estimated 36 percent of the voters in the first round of elections in 2014 were female. This compares to 44 percent in 2004 and 38 percent in 2009.
